Determine weight and support
Custom copper light fixtures, particularly large-scale chandeliers, can be heavy. Ensure your ceiling support structure and junction boxes are rated for the fixture weight before fabrication.
Select patina and light temperature
The interior finish of a copper shade affects the light quality. A bright polished interior reflects a warm golden glow, while an oxidized dark finish focuses light directly downward.
